First Annual Evening of Giving Benefit Concert and Charity Auction benefiting Indiana Children’s Wish Fund and Racing for Corey
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Racing for Corey announces today, that the first annual “Evening of Giving Benefit Concert and Charity Auction,” will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Bartini’s located at Union Station, 39 W. Jackson Pl, in downtown Indianapolis. The evening’s festivities will take place from 6:30 to 10 p.m., which will include live music provided by The Souled Out Band, a live auction of fabulous items, including an Indy Racing Experience with a 2-seater ride in an IndyCar, an opportunity to be a crew member for the day with IndyCar team Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, a guitar autographed by the Eagles, and much more. Complimentary appetizers will be served with a cash bar. The event’s net proceeds will benefit two Indiana-based charities: Indiana Children’s Wish Fund and Racing for Corey. Event tickets can be purchased at the door for $60, or by calling KECO Coatings at 317-356-7279. Ticket price includes two drink tickets. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
The Evening of Giving is being held in conjunction with the opening day of the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show, which opens December 12 at the Indiana Convention Center. Racing for Corey is a charity tightly connected to racing – specifically the IndyCar series, so it was fitting to tie-in the Evening of Giving event to the PRI show. Many of the exhibitors and attendees of the show have been direct supporters of the charity and will be attending the event.
Indiana Children’s Wish Fund
Founded in 1984, Indiana Children’s Wish Fund grants wishes to Indiana children, ages 3 to 18, who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Through funds provided through corporate sponsorships, private donations, and fundraising events, the organization is able to grant the wishes of children who might otherwise be out of reach. Racing for Corey
Founded in 1999, Racing for Corey is a program designed to bring together the sport of auto racing and kids diagnosed with life-threatening or chronic illnesses. Organized race-themed events are held at racetracks to entertain the wish kids and families of various non-profit, wishgranting organizations across the country. Events include a “meet and greet” session with celebrity racecar drivers, a luncheon and complimentary tickets for enjoying on-track activities; garage passes for up-close look at race activity, and a hands-on experience with Racing for Corey’s quarter midget racecar.
