The PHINdy Parrot Head Club of Indianapolis, a non-for-profit organization and an official Jimmy Buffett fan club, held the second annual “A Wish From Paradise” event on September 30th at Jimmy Buffett’s Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant. About 150 guests enjoyed live music, appetizers and cocktails, along with a silent and live auction while raising money for one of our wish children. The highlight of the live auction was an authentic autographed Jimmy Buffett photo that sold to a huge Jimmy Buffett fan. Other auction items included a Danny Granger autographed jersey, Neon signs and various Jimmy Buffett paraphernalia.
“A Wish From Paradise” raised $6,500.00 and granted Corbin Shelley’s wish to visit Disney World. Corbin, age 3, who lives in Indianapolis, suffers from Ewing’s Sarcoma (Cancer). The Shelley family came out to enjoy the end of summer festivities and gave guests the opportunity to meet the Star of the evening. Great food and fun was had by all while doing what we all do best: granting Wishes to our well-deserving Indiana children. A special thank you to the Parrot Head Club and Cheeseburger in Paradise for hosting such a fun and festive evening for Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.
